TRAIL ANGEL: Mike Strang in Lima, MT
Article by Nick Gevock, Staff Writer for The Montana Standard

Eric White arrived to the tiny burg of Lima, MT like most other long-range hikers on the Continental Divide Trail. His food was running low. He stank. And his clothes – the few he brought on the summer-long hike – were filthy.

But White, a retired orthopedic surgeon from Williamstown, MA, found an oasis along the trail in a respite that hikers have come to rely on to rejuvenate.

Mike Strang, owner of the Mountain View Motel here, picked the 67-year-old White up at the trailhead up Big Sheep Creek more than 30 miles from town for a night’s sleep in a bed. Click here to read the rest fo the story.

Spandex and Leather Working Together on the CDNST

The High Divide Trails collaboration is a success story to learn from! Check out this great article by Martin Kidston in the Helena Independent Record.
