Note: A sizable portion of the 87-mile section of CDT through the Carson is still under construction and hikers are encouraged to download the GPS line to enable them to follow the route in areas where the Trail is incomplete. The CDT route is flagged in areas where it is incomplete, but it is possible to lose this route without the GPS line as a guide. Much of this remaining trail work will be completed by CDTA volunteers and Youth Corps through the summer of 2009.
