Crew Chef

Building the CDT one spoonful at a time!
In 2009, for the first time ever, we had meals provided on all CDTA volunteer projects! Let’s make this a tradition as we secure volunteer Crew Chefs for 2010. As a CDTA Crew Chef you provide the menu, shopping, and cooking and we provide the cooking equipment (if needed), food budget, and hungry trail crew. Having a Crew Chef on a project brings a heightened sense of community to our trail crews. We are very proud of this unique and effective program.
2010 Trainings:
If you are interested in becoming a CDTA Crew Chef or want to brush up on your skills, join us for our 2010 Crew Chef Training during the Clear Creek II project just outside Leadville, CO. This training will be a one-day workshop on July 3rd led by two of our most seasoned volunteer Crew Chefs. Training fee is $15.00 to cover food and materials.
The training is currently full.

“The way one eats is the way one works.” – Czechoslovakian proverb
Not ready to become the lead chef, why not help out as a CDT Sous-Chef. Volunteers are needed to provide valuable assistance to the lead cook where you will also learn valuable tricks of the trade.
