CDTA Youth Corps Presentations
Find out first hand what it is like building the “King of All Trails”. The
CDTA Youth Corps delivers presentations to youth groups, schools, and service organizations throughout Colorado during the month of August every year. These presentations include descriptions of the crew’s personal experiences living and working on the primitive and challenging
CDT. This is an opportunity to find out first-hand how they coped with challenges and what benefits their project served for local communities, the environment, and themselves.

CDTA Youth Corps Visitors Program
The
CDTA Youth Corps Visitor program enables youth groups to hike to the Youth Corps crew’s work site and build trail with them. This unique opportunity can be a one-day trek or a multi-day adventure. As part of this unique opportunity, your group will enjoy Educational programs about the Continental Divide, Leave No Trace principles, backcountry safety, leadership, camp organization, and local natural resources. You’ll also learn how the project benefits the community, environment and yourself.
Organized youth groups ages 11-18 are welcome with a maximum of 12 youth participants allowed per visit. One adult supervisor is required per every 4 youth. Join us in this once-in-a-lifetime chance to build one of our nation’s greatest legacies.
